Privacy policy

Last updated 8 November 2026. This covers the QuackTracks app for Android phones and Wear OS watches.

The short version

Who we are

QuackTracks is made by an independent developer in Australia. It isn't made by Yoto. You can reach us at support@quacktracks.online.

What stays on your phone

What is sent, and where

ServiceWhat and why
YotoCommands to your player, and audio, pictures and playlists you choose to send to your own Yoto library. Handled under Yoto's own privacy policy.
LibriVox and the Internet ArchiveYour search words and the books you pick, to find and download free audiobooks.
Radio and podcast directoriesSearch words, to find stations and shows, if you use them.
Smart-home devices and accountsOn and off, brightness and colour commands, only to the devices and accounts you've linked, only when you or a story you set up asks.
pokefacts.onlineIf you enter a Pixel Disco member key, it's checked there. The key is sent in a private header, never in a web address.

QuackTracks doesn't run its own accounts or keep your information on its own servers.

Sending sound over your Wi-Fi

Quack Cast and Quack Talk send your phone's sound or your voice to your player over your home Wi-Fi while you use them. Nothing is recorded. The sound only travels on your own network, and Quack Talk stops by itself after three minutes.

Permissions the app asks for

Children

QuackTracks is for parents and carers to use, including for children's listening. It doesn't collect information from children, ask for children's names, or show adverts. Stories are written in the first person ("I", "my") so no name is needed.

Deleting your information

Everything QuackTracks keeps is on your devices. See how to delete your data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
